Save Your Teeth

A root canal is the removal of the tooth’s pulp (the nerve and blood vessels). This procedure is often necessary when the tooth has been injured or infected.

After the nerve is removed, a biocompatible material, gutta percha, is placed in the canals and a filling is placed. Often times, the tooth does not have a lot to tooth structure left, and should be protected by a crown.
